Raymond Tomb

“Raymond Tomb” is located in Hyderabad with a conical structure made up of black granite slabs. It is 60 meters long, 30 meters wide and 10 meters high. Tomb of Michel Joachim Marie Raymond was recognized as Monsieur Raymond, a French General of the Nizam's military as well as founder of a Gun foundry in Hyderabad. He joined as a normal soldier in the service of the ruling Nizam of Hyderabad then rapidly worked his way up and soon commanded the position of an army General.

Traces of the military barracks can be seen on “Raymond Tomb”. An extraordinary obelisk of polished black granite, Raymond's tomb stands on a hillock to the East of Hyderabad.
The tomb is open on all days except Friday and visiting timing is between 9:30 am to 4:30pm.
