Public Garden


Public garden is the oldest park located in the capital city, Hyderabad was built in the year 1846, during the regime of Nizam. This park soon became centre of attraction as well as major landmark of AP Legislative Assembly, Jubilee Hall, AP State Archaeology Museum, Asif Tennis Club, Potti Sriramulu Telugu University, Lalita Kala Thoranam and Jawahar Bal Bhavan that are located inside this park.

Department of Horticulture owns the building and very old mosque is other fascinating place to visit in the premises.
The Public Garden enables kids to have unlimited fun with the options that it provides to enjoy within the premises, a small school named “Jawahar Bal Bhavan” allows children to learn fine arts and one can also find an auditorium named as “Indira Gandhi Auditorium” inside the park. Public Gardens of Hyderabad stands out as an oasis of loveliness and greenery. The state government has freshly added a big statue of father of nation, Mahatma Gandhi in public Garden sitting in a praying posture and stands as center of attraction for Legislative Assembly.
