“Lotus pond” is associated with a tag as the beautiful lake situated in Banjara hills, Hyderabad and it’s a small pond and lies about 1.2km.sq. The pond was built as the part of Eco-conservation project in order to preserve the beauty of natural rocks and other attractive sections of this place. It stretches over an area of 11 acres bounded by lush green trees and became a natural habitat for 20 species of birds that include Pied Kingfisher, White Wagtail, Common Moorhen, Little Grebe, sunbirds, Common Coot, and Little Egret.

The different variety of fishes in the “Lotus Pond” adds more attraction to the pond and one can easily catch a fish by placing his in the cool waters. This pond comes as a rescue for morning walkers as well as to have a great time with your friends and family during weekends. At the same, photography enthusiasts do want to have their best click at this place as it acts as ideal place for photography. Currently this pond is under maintenance of Municipal Corporation of Hyderabad.
