ISKCON Temple


ISKCON Organization constructed the famous temple named “ISKCON Temple” at Nampally, Hyderabad. This temple is dedicated to Lord Krishna and can find thousands of Hindu devotees visiting this shrine during Krishna Janmashtami celebrations every year. Special sevas and `mahabhishekam’ to Lord Krishna are performed to receive blessings on the eve of Janmashtami. ISKCON Temple has two branches in Hyderabad, one is at Abids and other one at Maredpally.

The other main deities of this temple are Sri Jagannatha Baladeva-Subhadra, Sri Gaura-Nitai and Sri Radha Madana-Mohana.

As devotees in thousands visit the shrine of Lord Krishna every day, special security is provided to the temple under the supervision of police personnels.Apart from normal programs performed on daily basis, special programs are organized on every sunday in the shrine. The programme named “Bhakti Vrksha” organized by the temple community allows devotees to get more personal attention and acts as a guide for overall personal growth of the individual. There are other programs organized by the ISKCON Temple community like Sashtra Study Course, Youth Program, Anna Danam( Food for Life),Maha Nagar Sankirtana and Maha Nagar Sankirtana, after completion of the mentioned above programs, an individual can find real purpose of the life.
