Himayat Sagar Lake

“Himayat Sagar” is one among the beautiful lakes located in the Hyderabad and is at a distance of 20km away from city. The Lake was named after youngest son of the Nizam VII, Himayat Ali Khan and lies parallel to other lake named “Osman Sagar”. As the Hyderabad region receives heavy rainfall from the month of June to September and remains dry throughout the year, the main intension for the construction of reservoir was to store monsoon waters to meet water requirement for drinking and agriculture of Deccan region. |
